           Lê, born in the U.S.A. ( made in Vietnam ) ,  is seeking relief from the tulmultuous graph of grief relations and the systemic deterioration of memory production specific from those onset by militarism. Lê’s preference for the photographic image came forcibly, and at times, is as incomprehensivable as the beginnings of a relentless sentence, and yet: in the release of the abrasion, the capture, Lê can only hope that the image would recover a memory, whether it is the viewer’s own or otherwise, and in return become real.
